Restorative Dentistry

At Pioneer Hills Dental, our entire team is committed to providing high-quality dental care for our Aurora, CO patients. Beyond the stunning cosmetic services and compassionate family care that we offer, Dr. Wolbaum can use his expertise to restore the shape, size, color, function, and placement of your teeth with Restorative Dentistry.

Among our many solutions, Dr. Wolbaum can use dental crowns, inlays & onlays, dental bridges, dentures, and dental implants to solve any dental complication that you’re suffering with.

Dental Crowns

A crown also referred to as a cap, is used to cover a damaged tooth entirely. A crown not only strengthens a tooth, but it can dramatically improve a tooth’s appearance, shape, and alignment.

Inlays and Onlays

In dentistry, an inlay is an indirect restoration (filling) consisting of a solid substance (as gold or porcelain) fitted to a cavity in a tooth and cemented in place.

Likewise, an onlay is the same as an inlay, except it extends to replace a cusp. Crowns are onlay that encompass the entire surface of a tooth.

Dental Bridges

At Pioneer Hills Dental, we use a bridge to fill the space created by missing teeth if the gap cannot be filled with a dental implant. A bridge replaces the missing tooth, both functionally and cosmetically. The materials we use may be gold alloys, porcelain bonded to metal alloys, or all ceramic material made to match your natural tooth color. The choice of material depends on requirements for strength, wear, and/or esthetics.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are a tooth-replacement option that fills the gaps in your smile caused by missing teeth. Whether you’re missing one tooth, multiple teeth, or an entire arch, we can help. Dr. Wolbaum is a member of the Internation Congress of Oral Implantologists, so you can be sure that he’ll place them so that they can support your smile. Dental implants are the healthiest tooth-replacement option available because they work to reverse the negative effects of tooth loss.

If you’re missing an arch of teeth or an entire mouth, we can create a custom-fitted denture that will give you the ability to speak and smile without worry. For your convenience, Dr. Wolbaum offers three types of dentures: partial, full, and implant-supported. Each of these dentures provides specific benefits. For example, implant-supported dentures give you the stability of dental implants without having to worry about removing them for cleaning.
